Description
This 400 BBL insulated storage tank was built in 2009 by GLM Industries L.P. to API 12F, Ed. 12, Mod X — the standard vertical flat-bottom configuration for produced water and crude storage at Alberta well batteries. Spec plate data confirms Serial # 09-346-1, 12.0 ft diameter by 20.0 ft height, a 16 oz design pressure, 3/16 in. shell and roof over a 1/4 in. flat bottom, A-36 material, an MDMT of 11 °F, and a maximum temperature of 200 °F. Spray-foam insulation lets the tank hold heated fluids through winter service, and it is fitted with a caged ladder and an external level gauge for gauging from top or grade. The tank is offered in Used (D) condition, and the photo is consistent with that grade: the black coating over the foam insulation is chipped in numerous spots with yellow foam showing through, the bolted manway cover at the base still carries a UN 1267 placard, and the tank rests on pipe runners in the yard beside a second, more heavily weathered unit.
