Description
This 2000 BBL insulated storage tank provides large-volume crude oil and produced fluid storage for batteries and field facilities. Two matching units are available, built in 2007 by Argo, each a vertical flat-bottom tank measuring approximately 16 ft 6 in diameter by 43 ft overall height and weighing in the order of 35,000 lb. The shells carry spray-applied insulation finished in black, which holds fluid temperature and protects against freeze-up in northern Alberta service, and the size makes the pair well suited to group batteries, cleanup operations or terminal-style storage where a single 400 BBL tank farm would sprawl. The photos show the tanks standing in active field service inside corrugated containment walls, complete with caged access ladders, bolted shell manways and UN 1267 placarding; the insulation coating is continuous and largely intact with only the surface weathering expected of working tanks.
